This Beaujolais is drinking well now or it can age for several years. Drink on its own or with food. Cru Beaujolais because of its naturally high acidity and soft tannins, pairs well with a variety of foods. Perfect for a romantic picnic.
Vilmart Coeur de Cuvee 2009 — $150
Coeur de Cuvee is the highest expression of champagne from the Grower-Producer Vilmart & Cie. A blend of 80% chardonnay and 20% pinot noir, barrel fermented and aged for at least six years on the lees before released. This is the pinnacle of champagne, rich and complex with a silky-smooth delicacy, crisp and vibrant. Aromas of fresh baked bread and toasty oak. Well balanced with a finish that lingers on the palate with great length. A splurge to be sure but well worth it for one of the greatest wines of Champagne from one of the best Champagne Houses.
