Pomponette Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Rose — $17.99

A beautiful Rose from Aix En Provence made with a preponderance of Grenache with small amounts of Syrah, Rolle, Cinsault & Mourvedre. Classic pale pink/salmon in color with with floral aromas that are bright & clear. On the palate flavors of white peaches with touch of citrus dominate. Crispand refreshing, Pomponette is a stylish rose to enjoy on its own or as an accompaniment to lighter fare.

 

Domaine Coillot Bourgogne “Pinot Noir” — $24.99

Domaine Coillot’s Bourgogne Rouge comes from a privileged Pinot Noir parcel right outside of Gevery-Chambertin. Bright ruby red in color with notes of red berries, flowers and spice. Elegant and seductive with a long finish.

Jean-Louis Dutraive Fleurie “Le Pied De La Rue” — $35.99

Jean Louis Dutraive is a leader in organic viticuture and naturally produced Beaujolais. He makes substantial, age-worthy Beaujolais Crus marked by floral aromas, exotic spices and textural lushness. This Fleurie is no exception combining exotic floral, spicy aromas with lush, voluptious red berry fruit from the Gamay grape balanced with strong acidity and structure. This Beaujolais is drinking well now or it can age for several years. Drink on its own or with food. Cru Beaujolais because of its naturally high acidity and soft tannins, pairs well with a variety of foods. Perfect for a romantic picnic.

 

Vilmart Coeur de Cuvee 2009 — $150

Coeur de Cuvee is the highest expression of champagne from the Grower-Producer Vilmart & Cie. A blend of 80% chardonnay and 20% pinot noir, barrel fermented and aged for at least six years on the lees before released. This is the pinnacle of champagne, rich and complex with a silky-smooth delicacy, crisp and vibrant. Aromas of fresh baked bread and toasty oak. Well balanced with a finish that lingers on the palate with great length. A splurge to be sure but well worth it for one of the greatest wines of Champagne from one of the best Champagne Houses. Extremely limited.
