Learn to cook like the best of ‘em; Williams Sonoma offers an online series of classes covering everything from specialty coffee to baking skills with Bake From Scratch magazine. Also, the location in The Westchester mall occasionally offers in-person, cast-iron-focused cooking classes featuring Le Creuset, so keep an eye out.

Kids Cookery

Although virtual cooking classes are most often offered for adults, it’s really the kids who should be encouraged to take their taste buds on an adventure. Through Kids Cookery, school districts can sign up for their own individualized and interactive Zoom sessions focusing on sweets, savories, or both. Need a break and want the kids to do the cooking for a change? Fiddleheads is a child-focused platform that offers cooking classes to children as young as 2.5 years up to 18. Owner Renana Shvil-Tobi is dedicated to teaching kids how to make healthy choices while cooking creative and delicious kid- and adult-friendly meals. Fiddleheads instructors teach at Crawford Mansion in Rye and Chappaqua Community Center, as well as at farms, public libraries, museums, farmers’ markets, and private homes in New York and Connecticut.

Sur La Table’s White Plains location frequently hosts innovative and delicious cooking classes for all types of home chefs. Nighttime classes include themes such as Asian Steakhouse and Savoring Spain, and during the weekend the store hosts Date Night classes for the couple who prefers a luxury home-cooked meal. The cooking store and studio also offers weekend morning classes for people who want to learn to make decadent breakfast goodies like croissants (two ways: sweet and savory) or homemade filled donuts.
