The American fast-food chain dubbed “Home of the Original Chicken Sandwich” and known for its quintessential dipping sauce has opened its third location in Westchester County.
For years, customers have traveled to neighboring states to chow down on spicy chicken sandwiches and salads, but now Westchester is home to not one, but three Chick-fil-A locations. Ardsley’s Chick-fil-A restaurant opened last June, the chain’s first drive-thru in Yonkers opened on July 25, and, most recently, Scarsdale’s full-service restaurant has begun welcoming customers as of August 7.
The owner of Scarsdale’s newest chicken joint, Joshua Riley, hails from North Carolina and began working for the company as a team member while attending Appalachian State University. What started out as a summer job during his adolescent years has blossomed into a 15-year career, and he now holds the title of independent franchised local owner-operator.

“I took a chance on Chick-fil-A when I was just a college student, and today I feel fortunate to open the first restaurant in Greenburgh,” Riley says.
Riley has since moved to Westchester with his family and looks forward to uplifting the Scarsdale community. He has recognized 100 local heroes making an impact in the county and is gifting them free Chick-fil-A entrees for a year. Chick-fil-A Inc. has also donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts. Additionally, the Scarsdale location will take part in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table Program, which donates surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, and nonprofits in need.

Chick-fil-A possesses what some might call a cult-like following of customers who obsess over the menu. The full-service restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is open for dine-in, carry-out, catering, and delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
