Beford Post
I know what you’re thinking. Does this mean that you will no longer catch Richard Gere slowly slurping pasta or, I don’t know, dreamily eating a shrimp at Bedford Post’s Farmhouse? Happily, no. The plans for Marea Chef Michael White’s new restaurant, Campagna, leave the American Gigolo star still in ownership of the Relais & Châteaux property that he owns with his partner, Developer Russell Hernandez.
White’s Altamarea Restaurant Group will be taking over all of the food and beverage operations (including The Barn, The Farmhouse, Bedford Post’s private events space and the outdoor patio) at the Bedford property while Gere and Hernandez will still own and operate the hotel and its eight luxurious suites. PJ Calapa, executive chef of the Altamarea restaurants, Ai Fiori and Costata, will take over the culinary program alongside Chef White. Chef de Cuisine Devin Bozkaya, recently of Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C’s Westend Bistro and the Inn at Little Washington (another Relais & Chateaux property) will run Campagna’s kitchen. Campagna is tentatively set to debut at Bedford Post at the end of May.
