Chef Anthony Goncalves To Debut Home At The J-House

Here’s a shocker. On March 24th, 42’s Chef Anthony Goncalves formalized a deal with the J-House Hotel in Greenwich, CT, to debut a new restaurant—Home at the J-House—as soon as later this month. Goncalves will also be a partner in the hotel, which launched in 2012 on a site that had once been a Howard Johnson’s. When it launched, the J-House included Restaurant eleven14 at the J-House, headed up by Francois Kwaku-Dongo, formerly of L’Escale at the Delamar Hotel. In its stead, Goncalves is devising a modern Italian menu that offers “home hospitality” including a daily-changing antipasti board, a wood-fired oven, and charcuterie. In what had been the hotel’s Chocolate Lab, Goncalves will be setting up 42’s Pastry Chef, Melissa Comacho, in a retail bakery. Both Goncalves and Comacho will split their time between 42 and Home at the J-House Hotel.
