Irvington resident Catherine Zeta-Jones adds a specialty coffee line to her Casa Zeta-Jones clothing and beauty brand.
Acclaimed actress and Irvington resident, Catherine Zeta-Jones has announced an addition to her Casa Zeta-Jones clothing and beauty brand: specialty coffee. “Let’s not forget something we have really been challenged with this last year, which is the social interaction of, ‘I’ll meet you for a coffee.’”
Speaking during a live “coffee break” from her kitchen on social shopping network, talkshoplive, Zeta-Jones outlined the collection which consists of six gourmet, artisan-crafted coffee blends. She says each one is “very individual,” but still simple and cohesive, with roasts ranging from light-medium to dark, with caffeine and without.

Zeta-Jones says she drew inspiration for the names of the blends from an unlikely source: the nail salon. The Breakfast A Go-Go Blend is a slightly spicy, light-medium roast blend of Central, South American, and East African beans (caf or decaf) that Zeta-Jones describes as chocolate-like, not because of the taste, but for the texture. Zeta’s Reserve Blend is a medium roast she defines as, “perfectly in the middle” with beans sourced from Indonesia and Central and South America.

Among the dark roasts, Zeta Strong Blend has hints of caramel and, like the name suggests, it is a strong, simple coffee, while Casa Brazil Blend is the darkest, most intense roast of the bunch, described as bold but not overbearing. There’s also a decaf dark roast as well.
All six varietals come in what she calls a “chic” 12-oz resealable bag, with mugs, insulated tumblers, and gift sets available to make the experience complete.

During her “coffee break,” Zeta-Jones also emphasized the importance of being ethically and morally conscious — consumers can “rest assured” that Casa Zeta-Jones Coffee is ethically sourced and produced, and a portion of the profits are donated to charities of her choosing. She chose to partner with importer and roaster, Icon Global Coffee Company, for this very reason; the company has been committed to responsibly sourced coffee beans for 90 years.
In a nutshell, the actress wants her coffee line to help “make every day extraordinary,” and to give people something they can start each day with “that feels good, you know is good, comes from a good place, and a good heart.”
