The Cake Pops You Need to Try at Westchester County Bakeries

Enjoy a delicious cake pop from one of these Westchester bakeries to celebrate National Cake Pop Day (or any day, really).

February 1 is National Cake Pop Day. The only way to celebrate this beloved snack on a stick is by hitting these local bakeries to snag one of your own. And if you do a full-on cake pop crawl in Westchester…your secret is safe with us.

Cerbone’s Bakery

140 S Ridge St, Rye Brook; 914.937.5474

Serving up a combination of French, Italian, and American pastry styles, Cerbone’s stocks a wide selection of goodies. The cake pops may feel a little out of place among the tier cakes and pastries, but don’t turn your nose up at these delicious bites. Bonus: Cerbone’s is a nut-free bakery, so you can indulge without fear of allergens.

Cupcake Cutie Boutique

8 South 6th Ave, Mt. Vernon; 914.530.5536

As if everything in the shop wasn’t already dazzling (boozy cupcakes, anyone?), the cake pops in this hidden gem are a spectacle. The mother-daughter duo behind Cupcake Cutie, who rose to fame for their banana pudding cupcakes, create fun and fashionable cake pops that double as accessories.

The Dessertist

4 Croton Point Ave, Croton-on-Hudson; 914.862.4016

Chef Samantha Benjamin has made a huge name for herself in the sweets space, dunking cookies with Knicks player Obi Toppin and creating treats for the New York Rangers. Her cake pops are the stuff of legend, so snag yours at A&S Marketplace in Mt. Kisco or The Black Cow in Pleasantville.

Patty Pops

321 5th Ave, Pelham; 347.409.3084

From the first step you take into this Pelham pop heaven, you’ll be blown away. Rainbow surprise, confetti, and more fill the insides of these stunningly designed cake pops (we have a soft spot for the evil eye design). The sweets are available as gifts for your loved ones or just to treat yo’ self—with an entire box of cake pops, that is.

The Poppery

255 N Bedford Rd, Mt. Kisco; 914.218.8447

These pops should be categorized as art rather than dessert. Starting her business at only 23 years old, Alexa DiPaterio has been a cake pop pioneer in the county for most of her career. With designs as intricate as mermaids, sushi, and even cartoon characters, you might feel a little guilty polishing these off in a bite or two.

Steph’s Sweet Creations

137 Willet Ave, Port Chester; 914.881.3700

On theme and always celebrating something (you know, like Tuesday), these cake pops make even a party of one feel monumental. These sprinkle-laden pops are also available in mixed-treat gift boxes—some options even include sparkling wine.

Wildly Cakes

218 Ashford Ave, Dobbs Ferry; 914.231.421

The goal at Wildy Cakes is a simple, yet noble one: to create edible works of art, not just flash in the pan desserts.  These massive-sized cake pops, as with everything at the shop, utilize locally sourced ingredients and vendors. We recommend the red velvet, because if ya know…ya know.
