Get a first look at the insane shakes, marshmallow-topped scoops, and party-ready sprinkle room.
It’s winter, but is it ever really too cold for ice cream? After much anticipation, Bona Bona has opened its brick-and-mortar location in Port Chester. The 5,000-square-foot space is a showcase for chef and Chopped champion Nick Di Bona’s creative flavors like Nutella s’mores, rainbow cookie, Holy Cannoli, B Dough (brownie-cookie dough), and backyard mint chip, served in cones with a swirl of torched Italian meringue, decadent milkshakes, sundaes, and banana splits. Check it out below.
Colorful murals show the Bona Bona truck. To the right is the Sprinkle Room, available for special events and kid-friendly sundae-making parties. The key feature: a sprinkle shower that rains sprinkles from the ceiling.
The curved milkshake bar with ice-cream-cone pendant lights is the place to watch your milkshake being made. A liquor license is in the works, so keep an eye out for boozy shakes, plus wine and beer, coming soon.
The over-the-top milkshake trend is going strong at Bona Bona with options like this rainbow-cookie shake with buttercream, sprinkles, and a rainbow-cookie rim.
Up to 16 flavors are available in the case each day, with freshly packed pints ready for customers to take home.
