New kid on the block, Billy & Pete’s Social in Larchmont, has quickly become known for its delicious Detroit-style and grilled pizza, but on the weekends if you knock (three times, perhaps?) on the side door, you get… wait for it… doughnuts!
Open Saturday and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Side Door Donuts serves fresh, homemade, and warm bite-sized doughnuts with a crispy fried exterior and a light and airy consistency. Generously glazed and topped, it’s impossible to eat just one!
Wildly inventive flavors include maple bacon, Fruity Pebbles, cookies n’ cream, powdered sugar, s’mores, pb & j, cinnamon sugar, and Fluffernutter. None of these suiting your fancy? Create your own unique combo of glazes and toppings with classic chocolate or vanilla, or more adventurous marshmallow, peanut butter, or maple glaze with rainbow sprinkles, crushed Oreos, Fruity Pebbles, graham crackers, chocolate chips, cocoa, and bacon. Yes, bacon.
And these orb-shaped nuggets of deelish won’t break the bank either: 3 doughnuts go for $2 or 15 for $10.
Plus, there’s coffee brewing on the burners because can you really have a doughnut without a cuppa? And, coming soon, donut party boxes and ice cream to create a mouthwatering dessert-breakfast hybrid. You donut want to miss it!
When you’re cooking with Billy and Pete, everything is organic and farm-to-table. Both the restaurant and Side Door Donuts use locally sourced products from NY farms. “We’re really trying to be part of the community,” co-owner Pete says, “and that involves using locally sourced materials.”
Billy and Pete’s goal is to host a stress-free, family-style environment, where no one is counting calories, or how many doughnuts you eat — not even Billy or Pete who frequently stop by to chat up their customers.
