Topped with good stuff like bananas, blueberries, strawberries, and granola, açaí bowls pack a punch of tasty benefits for your brain, heart, and overall health. Think of them as super healthy smoothies you eat with a spoon. Here are a few real goodies in Westchester.

Granola Bar

With five locations, including one in Rye, Granola Bar offers all sorts of healthy items including granola (natch), parfaits, and smoothies. Among its smoothies is the Organic Açaí, which comes with both spoon and straw. It’s served with almond milk, bananas, and blueberries for a fruity kick, and topped with cinnamon granola.

Grass Roots Kitchen

Grass Roots Kitchen, near the Tarrytown train station, serves healthy, fresh offerings including an açaí bowl. Its Açaí Roots Bowl is made with Grass Roots’ Deep Roots Smoothie (comprised of beets, açaí, mangoes, blueberries, and fresh OJ) plus fruit, granola, and honey. It’s available as a vegan version and/or GF.
