There’s no better feeling than kicking back with friends and a good drink after a long day. Except, when you can get that drink at a discount. Here are five Yonkers spots where you can do just that.
Dia & Noche
640 McLean Ave; 914.476.2786
This fun, Latin party spot is great on the weekends, when there’s live music and salsa dancing, but the good times also roll at happy hour, Monday through Friday, 3–8 p.m.
Go for the Wild Margarita, passion fruit mojito, or blackberry-brandy red sangria, and pair it with some tapas, like the chorizo, sweet-plantain-and-chicken rolls, and beef sliders.
Fortina
1086 N Broadway; 914.358.3595
Who says happy hour should be limited to the work week? At Chef Christian Petroni’s restaurant in the Boyce Thompson Center, happy hour is celebrated all week long, including 4–7 p.m. on weekends.
Along with discounted select wines, beers, and well drinks, don’t miss the $5 apps, including pizzas and chicken parm sliders with steak fries.
Havana Central
1 Ridge Hill Blvd; 914.423.5500
This lively Cuban restaurant serves tropical island flavors in their food and drinks. Revel at happy hour from Monday through Friday, 4–7 p.m., with tapas at the bar and discounted Cuban cocktails (classic mojito, anyone?), wine, and beer.
If you’re here on Tuesday, don’t miss the $1 empanadas.
Saints and Scholars
790 McLean Ave; 914.457.5500
Getting off early tonight? If you can get to this modern Irish-style bar by 6 p.m., you’ll score $2 off all cocktails and wine.
This spot is also known for its friendly and fun vibe, so stop by, grab one of the pretty-colored drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere.
Yonkers Brewing Co.
92 Main St; 914.226.8327
Beer fanatics, this is your spot. Monday through Friday, 4–8 p.m., Yonkers Brewing serves $6 beers, as well as $8 mixed drinks. Pub food, such as burgers and boneless Buffalo bites, is also available to support all the beer you’ll be drinking.
Local school faculty and staff, show a valid school ID and you can let loose with the brewery’s Yonkers School Happy Hour until 10 p.m.
