5 Napkin Introduces Brunch Menu—Here's What You Should Try

Most who’ve frequented 5 Napkin are craving juicy burgers, thick-cut onion rings, and creamy macaroni and cheese. And yes, the burgers are something to write home about—in fact, we did a few months back—but now there’s also a fun new brunch menu.

The spacious 5 Napkin in Ridge Hill, which includes outdoor seating and an impressive bar area, has an eclectic brunch menu that’s offered Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm. From Greek skillet eggs (sauté of lamb sausage, potatoes, peppers, onions, and feta cheese topped with three fried eggs), to artichoke Benedict (artichoke, spinach, and mozzarella dip gratineed on a toasted potato roll with two poached eggs and smothered with hollandaise sauce), to a brunch burger (griddled ham, American cheese, one fried egg, and Russian dressing-like 5N sauce), the restaurant has a little bit of everything to satisfy even the hungriest of patrons.

These à la carte menu items are priced from $10.50 to $14.95 (there is a grilled strip steak with two eggs for $22.75). The menu also includes salads, tacos, sandwiches, and an assortment of sushi such as a southwestern roll (spicy yellow tail, cilantro, chayote, scallion, topped with jalapeno and tobiko).

5 Napkin’s cocktail and dessert list are also worth an order. Specialty drinks, in addition to the house favorite Bloody Mary, include Smokey Tommy’s (Herradura reposado tequila, mezcal, agave, fresh lime), French 55 (Hendricks gin, Dillon’s rose gin liqueur, sparkling wine, fresh lemon), and Nor’Easter (Nor’easter bourbon, fresh coffee, Chantilly cream, cocoa powder). For those seeking a virgin “no proof needed” beverage, our pick is the blueberry mint lemonade which includes muddled blueberries, fresh mint, and agave. Lastly, dessert isn’t for the faint-hearted with rich selections such as 7-layer blackout cake, espresso brownie sundae, and shakes, floats, and ice creams.

Let’s also not forget feeding the little ones who may not be able to conquer the enormous plate of 5N buttermilk pancakes. The children’s menu includes favorites like bacon and eggs and cinnamon French toast—well priced at $7.50 each.
