There’s a lack of decent steak sandwiches in Westchester. Luckily, Village Social comes through with a bang-up version. It’s far from a true Philly, but it’s not trying to be: It’s a more fancied-up steak sandwich than what I’ve seen around. It begins with a soft, club roll with just the right amount of chew, medium-rare sliced steak, caramelized onions, plenty of smoky chili aioli, and pungent Manchego, which adds some appreciated funk.
