Westchester Dentists Take on Emergency Patients Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic

Two Westchester dentist offices have opened their doors to treat emergencies amid the healthcare chaos brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We believe it is important that people know that there is still a place, at least for now, to have dental emergencies taken care of,” says Harrison Linsky, DDS, MD. The 2019 Top Dentist partners with Michael Graffeo, DDS — another 2019 Top Dentist — at Westchester Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Implantology in Purchase.

“By treating emergencies in our office, patients avoid having to go to the emergency room, limiting possible exposure to COVID-19,” they say. “Additionally, this eases the burden on hospital doctors who may have patients to care for with far more serious health problems.”

While the pair have decided to postpone elective procedures and reschedule non-urgent appointments, patients with dental emergencies can call 914.902.5780 to schedule an appointment or email the team at info@oralsurgeryofwestchester.com.

Another Westchester dentist is also doing his part. Oral and maxillofacial surgeon Andrew Greenberg, DDS is the face and name behind Briarcliff’s Greenberg Oral Surgery.

Dr. Greenberg says that he and his team “have instituted extreme safety protocols to protect patients and staff. These protocols include not just enhanced sterilization techniques, but also head-to-toe protection, face shields, and both N95 and surgical masks.

Subscribers might remember Dr. Greenberg from our November 2019 issue, which included a travelogue of Greenberg’s humanitarian mission to provide dental care to nearly a thousand people in Jamaica’s Montego Bay last summer.
