Contemporary Dance for Adults

There is a new dance class in Rye for adults at Rye Ballet Conservatory. On Thursday mornings, a group of adults comes together to break a sweat and enjoy movement and music in a sun-filled studio. Before now, adults seeking a contemporary movement class had to travel to New York City. Instructor, Caitlin Trainor, has a passion for adult dance education, leading her to develop this class for adults who are passionate and curious about dance. Caitlin welcomes new participants with a joyful, ‘come as you are’ spirit.
Caitlin regularly teaches on the faculty of Barnard College/Columbia University. She is the artistic director of Trainor Dance, a non-profit dance company that performed most recently at New York Botanical Gardens in conjunction with the Yayoi Kusama exhibit. She is also the founder of Dancio, providing on-demand dance classes with world-class teachers.
