Time in the Business: Working in the design industry since 2006; she opened her company in 2010.
What Inspires You: “I am inspired by people and nature,” says Pirsu. “Nature because it provides us with all the design elements we need to create a soothing, relaxing, and functional environment. And I am inspired by people: their personalities, desires, aspirations, and lifestyle choices. Each one of us is undeniably unique, down to our fingerprints, and so my designs for each of my clients are unique and inspire me to create the home where they, and they only, belong.”
What Is Your Design Aesthetic: “Artful, worldly, and eclectic,” says Pirsu. “Born and raised in Europe, I have great respect and admiration for classical architecture. That allows me to respect the history and design location of the homes I decorate but always embark on an adventure to merge various styles with the same artistic sensibility and balance achieved in the classical European masterpieces.”
What Do You Love Most About Being a Designer: “Creating homes where people belong,” says Pirsu. “I love offering my clients the knowledge, passion, and understanding of the world, art, and cultural diversity that I have acquired in my almost 30 years of world travels. I grew up a citizen of the world, traveling the globe, starting at 12 years old as a professional tennis player. Furthermore, I like to celebrate each client and give them something different, so I take pride in never repeating designs and always keeping it fresh and unique. My favorite expression: ‘Creating the home where you belong.’”
What Do You Admire About Other Designers: “I admire passionate and fearless designers who push the limits of design to the next level,” says Pirsu. “My eye is always attracted by what is different, bold, new, innovative.”
