Info You Need to Know: 409 Main St, Armonk; 304 Park Ave, New York; 914.273.2001; www.hirshsondesign.com

Time in Business: Practicing architecture since 2006; opened his own shop in 2010.

What’s Your Style: “Our projects embody elements of traditional architecture, with a strong focus on proper scale and symmetry,” says Hirshson. “We infuse a contemporary sensibility to the selection of materials and development of the details. The result is a home that’s rooted in history, represents contemporary living and improves with time.”

What Do You Love Most About Being an Architect: “Each day presents the opportunity to create something new,” says Hirshson. “We learn from every project we complete. Therefore, no two days are exactly the same.”

What Do You Love About Westchester: “I love that no single architectural style represents Westchester,” says Hirshson. “In a single town one may find a 1920s Tudor-style home, a 1950s modern ranch, or traditional Colonial built sometime in-between.”

What Does It Mean to Be Voted the Best Architect of 2017: “The practice of architecture involves balancing creative energy with assembling the proper team to realize a design concept,” says Hirshson. “We’re honored by this distinction and appreciative of the opportunity to practice our craft in Westchester. Thank you to each of our clients for entrusting us with the construction of your home.”
