Into our third decade of celebrating the best of the 914, we have many first-time honorees (from a vegan café to an outdoor December holiday market) as well as the recognition of some timeless OGs among our Best of Westchester winners.

For 22 years now, our editors and writers have been eating, drinking, shopping, and schlepping our way around Westchester to identify the best in the county. There are 116 Editors’ Picks this year, including restaurants in White Plains, Elmsford, Mamaroneck, and Pleasantville that answer the question: “Where should I dine out next?” in addition to a jazz venue down a quiet Tarrytown side street, an a cappella group that delivers birthday videograms, and top spots to watch the sun rise and set.
Readers had the opportunity to vote, too, producing 269 winning selections. More than 34,000 ballots were submitted to the online Best of Westchester Readers’ Ballot from early December to the end of January. The results determined the winners in all major categories except Food & Drink and Health & Beauty (these were done via six elimination rounds in February through early March, when approximately 50,000 votes were tallied).
