This county is awakening from a challenging year – what better way to celebrate than with BOW!
It’s a remarkable county we live in, considering this is our 21st annual Best of Westchester issue, yet the winners’ list is replete with so many worthy — and new — selections. There are 121 editors’ picks this year, including must-try new foodie spots in Peekskill, Rye, Elmsford, Larchmont, and Harrison; a salon where you can get beautified and have a coffee or cocktail; and a public art display ripe for at least a few posts on your Instagram account.
Readers had the opportunity to vote, too, producing 257 winning selections. More than 34,000 ballots were submitted to the online Readers’ Ballot from early December to the end of January. The results determined the winners in all major categories except Food & Drink and Health & Beauty (these were done via six elimination rounds in February through early March, when approximately 50,000 votes were tallied — a record for the event).
Did we miss anything? Email edit@westchestermagazine.com with suggestions for new categories and/or winners. There’s always next year!
Happy Best Of browsing; look for your favorites among the winners (and, in many cases, tests of their wares) at the July 21 Best Of Party, at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle.
