Who We Are

Elizabeth Seton Children’s is a pioneering provider of care, education and hope for children with some of the most challenging medical conditions any person can face. Featuring the largest residential medical center of its kind in the United States, we change lives, one child at a time. We create possibilities like no other place. And we are forever inspired by the dignity, determination and grace of those we serve.

What We Do

Elizabeth Seton Children’s encompasses Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center, our residential facility that is nationally recognized for its quality care and innovation; Elizabeth Seton Children’s School, which offers individualized special education to children with medically complex conditions in both our residential center and in community settings; and Elizabeth Seton Children’s Rehabilitation Center, which offers physical, occupational and speech therapies along with medical specialties and care coordination services. All the organizations in this non-profit family are supported by our philanthropic arm, Elizabeth Seton Children’s Foundation.

How We Are Different

With more than 30 years of success, we are a national leader in serving children with deeply complex medical conditions because we provide the entire around-the-clock continuum of medical, educational and therapeutic services. This means these children can do more than survive – they thrive and can pursue a full life. They have the right to safely become adults.

The Elizabeth Seton Young Adult Center

Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center cares for 169 children from infancy to young adulthood. We are blessed to live in a time in which modern advances in medical care allow more of our kids to thrive past their childhood and teenage years than ever before. However, pediatric placement ends at age 21. For most, aging out means transferring to a geriatric nursing home that is unsuited to provide the medical and emotional care that our young adults need and deserve. That is why Elizabeth Seton Children’s is urgently raising money to build the first home of its kind for young adults with medical complexity. This will be a national model – a home with life-sustaining technology, specialty clinics, interactive living environments and spaces for music, art, family time and outdoor exploration.

For those who want to have an impact on a child’s life, this is the place to give. To support or learn more about this important project, please visit our website at www.setonchildrens.org.
