Oscillation
FinBack Brewery
Crafted by a Queens brewery quickly becoming the darling of area beer hounds, Finback’s Oscillation series is actually a revolving roster of IPAs that are complex while remaining ultra-drinkable. The most recent Oscillation 003 features El Dorado, Citra, and Mosaic hops.

CBS
Founders Brewing Co.
This Michigan-based brewer already had a hit with their unique breakfast stout, KBS. When they decided to age the stuff in barrels that previously housed maple syrup, they ended up with a beer so popular, people literally line up for it. You might have to call ahead to make sure a can of this drink with notes of chocolate, coffee, and maple is available.

Utopias
Sam Adams
With a hair-curling 28 percent alcohol by volume and an eye-popping price to match, this rare beer is the centerpiece of many craft collections. Made in small quantities by Sam Adams, this non-carbonated brew sports notes of butter and malt and, due to its high alcohol content, is illegal in 15 states.
DeCicco & Sons, Armonk; $275 and up per bottle
Magnetic Tape
Grimm Artisanal Ales
Produced by the uber-hip Brooklyn-based Grimm Artisanal Ales, this oat single IPA uses Motueka hops from New Zealand, which give the beer citrusy undertones of mango and melon. Grimm products are often hard to find, but in the case of this particularly refreshing specimen, it’s well worth the search. DeCicco & Sons, Armonk , $5.99 per can
