Family supermarket chain Wegmans knows that when it completes its long-awaited Westchester location this year, the brand’s fervent followers will flock to the new Harrison branch in droves.

So when is the Wegmans Westchester opening date? The forthcoming Harrison supermarket will open its doors for business on Sunday, June 7, 2020.
If the Brooklyn opening was anything to judge by, you may want to set up your tents and sleeping bags out front in early May.
The 121,000 square-foot store, located at 106 Corporate Park Drive off of I-287 and the Hutch, began hiring for 220 full-time positions last March. Now, as the building nears completion, Wegmans has begun the process to hire an addition 280 part-time positions. As with the earlier round, most of these workers will be hired from the local community.
“We’re looking for friendly people who are enthusiastic about food and eager to help our customers enjoy delicious, easy meals,” says Store Manager Matthew Dailor, a 25-year Wegmans veteran. “We’ll provide all the training needed to be successful because our employees receive some of the most in-depth product, service, and culinary education in the industry.”
Those employees will also receive one of the most in-depth benefits packages in the industry: Wegman’s has spent more than two decades topping Fortune magazine’s “Best Companies to Work For” lists. (It most recently placed #1 for retail and #3 overall in 2019.)
In addition to groceries, the location will also sport the brand’s famed hot food and salad bars, plus The Burger Bar, an in-store casual restaurant that serves burgers and sandwiches, salads, kids meals, soup, and more — even beer and wine.
