Beauty may indeed be in the eyes of the beholder, but, personal taste aside, fabulous design stands the test of time—regardless of style. As we did last year, we received nearly 200 submissions for our Fourth Annual Westchester Home Design Contest. But this year, our process was a bit different, as were the categories. We empaneled a nominating committee comprising the editors of Westchester Home and five design and architecture professionals to hone the entries to a list of 21 designs—three in each of seven categories. Then, we enlisted a panel of four judges, faculty members from the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID), to make the final decisions. The winners will be announced at our 2015 Design Awards Ceremony at the Emelin Theatre on January 14, starting at 6 pm.
