Westchester Magazine’s 2023 Wine & Food Festival

Throughout Westchester County
June 6-10

For food lovers in Westchester County, nothing hits the spot quite like our very own Wine & Food Festival. This year, the festivities are bigger and better than ever, with events like Party on the Pier at Playland on June 7 and Burger & Beer Blast on June 8. Of course, local foodies know that the crowning event is the Grand Tasting Village on Saturday, June 10 at Kensico Dam Plaza. Come hungry…for you certainly won’t leave that way.

Greek Festival

Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, Yonkers
June 9, 5 p.m.-midnight; June 10, 3 p.m.- midnight; June 11, 12-9 p.m.

Head over to Yonkers this weekend for a tradition Greek spread featuring homemade pastries and cookies. In addition to your favorite Greek foods, which you can eat there or take out, there will be live Greek music, Greek folk dancing, a kids’ zone, and more.

White Plains Juneteenth Parade and Festival

Celebrate Juneteenth in White Plains with a parade featuring performers, drummers, live music, and stilt walkers. Post-parade, there will be a festival full of entertainment, food, and vendors.

Food Truck Fundraiser

131 Southside Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson
June 11, 1-5 p.m.

The Annual Food Truck Fundraiser makes its way to the Hasting Flea on June 11. Not only will there be a handful of multicultural food trucks, but there will also be live music, kids’ activities, and raffles.

Yonkers Ukrainian Heritage Festival

St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, North Broadway and Shonnard Place, Yonkers
June 16, 6-10 p.m.; June 17, 1-10 p.m.; June 18 1-7 p.m.

This annual tradition, sponsored by the Ukrainian American Youth Association, celebrates the culture and heritage of Ukraine. Yonkers, the home of the largest Ukrainian population in Westchester, will host traditional dancers and musicians at the festival, along with an exquisite selection of Ukrainian street food and hearty dishes. Carnival rides and games will accompany the scrumptious spread, and 100% of proceeds will go towards humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

African American Heritage Day

Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla
June 26, 12-6 p.m.

The 37th annual African American Heritage Day will feature traditional African dances, songs, and delicious foods from many regions and cultures across the continent.

Putnam County Wine & Food Fest

Mayor’s Park, Cold Spring
August 5 and 6

Pack the whole family and a picnic blanket into the car for a full day of live entertainment, arts and crafts, and, most importantly, a delectable variety of food and drinks just north of Westchester County. Sip (or swig) on an assortment of acclaimed wines, spirits, and ciders while sampling mouthwatering and unique finds from local vendors at this summer food festival. You can stop by the Dutchess Dog’s food truck, devour a lobster roll or crab cake, or pick up a gift for a spice lover at Big Guy Hot Sauce.

Indian Heritage Day

August 7, 12-6 p.m.

This heritage festival is part of a series hosted by Westchester County Government to celebrate the culture of India. Enjoy traditional Indian dance performances, food, and music.

Jewish Heritage Day

August 20, 12-6 p.m.

Celebrate Jewish culture at the 44th annual Jewish Music and Arts Festival filled with Israeli dancing, activities, food, and more. This heritage festival is part of a series hosted by Westchester County Government.
