8 Beautiful Sound Shore Wedding Venues in Westchester

Your guide to the scenic backdrops of the Long island Sound.

These Sound Shore wedding venues prove fall foliage isn’t the only picturesque wedding backdrop Westchester County has to offer.

Here in the Hudson Valley, we tend to talk up our namesake river on a regular basis. Still, when it comes to gorgeous views and en plein air wedding venues, we’re just as happy to pull up our Instagram and flip through dozens of saved shots from Westchester’s other scenic water vista, the Sound Shore. Below, here are a few of our favorites.

Both are adjoined by a bucolic lawn that is absolutely ideal for outdoor ceremonies, first looks, party portraits, or even engagement shoots. Other choice locations include the welcome arch and nearby gatehouse.

VIP Country Club

Pictures at a 120-year-old estate overlooking the water won’t be the only standout feature of your wedding at this venue. The country club, open to non-members for weddings, creates a restaurant-style dining experience. Stations during cocktail hours are customizable, so guests can choose what they want chefs to add in at each. South Asian, Indian, and Pakistani weddings are a specialty here, and chefs are prepared to make special ethnic cuisines, including halal meats, while adhering to dietary requests.

A fusion-style menu is also available at this wedding venue (along with the option of having the event entirely catered), which means the club’s chefs will work alongside a caterer to ensure there are options for everyone.
