Practice Your Swing All Year Long With Indoor Golf in Westchester

Keep the rust off your game by playing year round.

If you hope to get a jump on your golf game for the spring — or just want to have a great time swinging a club — you can play and practice in Westchester no matter how long the stubborn wintry temps last.

An ever-growing list of private clubs have indoor golf simulators and even heated bays on their ranges, where you can take lessons, practice your swing or play a virtual round on hundreds of world-famous courses. Westchester Country Club, St. Andrew’s, GlenArbor, Old Oaks, and Westchester Hills are just a few that give their members the opportunity to play year-round.

But you don’t have to be a country club member to tee it up at Fenom Fitness in Harrison. The health club’s Full Swing Simulator is the same equipment used by Masters winner Jordan Speith, although there’s no guarantee you’ll match his level of performance. Kids with supervision are welcome, too, and PGA pro Ralph Garafano is available for lessons, by appointment.

The Back Nine Indoor Golf Center in Cortlandt Manor offers more than 40 different golf courses on six simulators, not to mention live music, burgers, wings, and adult libations to make that indoor golf experience more than just whacking balls into a net. Several local pros give lessons and you can sign up for league play, too.

Clay Health Club in Port Chester has a unique membership program that offers everything from supervised practice blocks, instruction, and private time on a TruGolf E6 simulator to one-on-one physical training and nutrition coaching. And the Clay Café, with its menu of healthy fare, is just steps away from the golf studio.

You’ll get the full outdoor golf range experience at Yorktown Golf and Baseball Center, which provides heated bays to keep your swing warm and loose year round. (While you’re there, do your game a real favor and get fitted for new clubs by Steve Kurnit at DD Custom Golf.)
