Pleasantville Country Club Rolls Out Red Carpet for Junior Golfers

Clinics and camps give young golfers a range of skills.

When should youngsters start learning golf?  If they can swing a club, kids as young as four are welcome to join the fun at the new Junior Clinics at Pleasantville CC, according to head professional Sharon McQuillan.

“No experience or equipment is necessary,” she says. “Students will learn golf skills and fundamental athletic movements in a dynamic, fun environment.

Clinics will be conducted at Pleastantville CC on Sunday afternoons beginning May 21. Separate one-hour clinics for 4-7, 8-12, and 13-16 year-olds will run through June 25.  They will cover the full swing, short game, and on-course instruction under the leadership of Simon Clough, a certified US Kids Golf instructor and US Kids Golf Local Tour Director. Clinics are designed for a 6:1 athlete/coach ratio.
