It was granted to the Revolutionary War patriot with 154 acres of land formerly belonging to Philipsburg Manor, according to an outside plaque. The original dwelling was substantially enlarged around 1788 with the addition of the Federal front portion.

The 3,269-square-foot house has three bedrooms, all on the upper level, and three bathrooms. It sits on a 16,108-square-foot lot. Architectural and design details include large fireplaces, wide-planked random-width pegged wood floors throughout, a large antique front door, built-ins, ceiling beams, a second-story porch and a walk-up attic.

Selling points: The house is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Amenities include a two-car garage and wrap-around driveway.

Downside: The house needs an update. It’s also near the busy corner of Bronxville Road and Palmer Road.
