When he noticed that a lot of his deliveries were headed for Westchester—and many for the high rises of New Rochelle—Harvey Jones, owner and CEO of Native New York Group Inc./Last Mile Logistics LLC, a New York City retail and furniture distribution company, decided to launch a showroom right in the Queen City, not far from his Mount Vernon home. “New Rochelle is becoming very trendy,” says his wife and the company co-owner, Jennifer Jones. Specializing in contemporary residential and commercial furnishings, lighting, and accessories that range from classic modern to the most avant-garde, City Life Concepts (CLC) also offers custom design, manufacture, and installation. Offerings include the clean and minimalist Pedrali furnishings collection (mostly $500-plus); fun and colorful, yet elegant, furniture for adults and children from Adrenalina ($300-$6,000); custom Atlas Closet and Cabinets wall units ($2,000-$30,000); and very contemporary, yet classic, tables, chairs, and lighting from SohoConcepts ($3,000-$6,000).
