Nanimarquina’s “Little Field of Flowers” Indoor Lawn

The verdant carpet is composed of hand-woven flowers and leaves, meaning you’re free from bugs and maintenance responsibilities

Sometimes, the grass really is greener on the other side. Case in point: this playful yet sophisticated rug from Spanish designer nanimarquina. “Little Field of Flowers” is a delightfully lush, always-in-bloom indoor lawn free of bugs, ticks, and goose and dog droppings. It never requires mowing, watering, or fertilizing, either. Designed by Tord Boontje and winner of numerous design awards, it is composed of small, hand-woven, 100-percent-wool felt flowers and leaves. Available in purple, red, ivory, and green (shown here), it is hand-loomed in three sizes: 80 cm x 140 cm ($1,486); 170 cm x 240 cm ($5,418); and 200 cm x 300 cm ($7,959). Available at Karkula in Manhattan (48 Walker St, 212-645-2216) or online at karkula.com. For more info: nanimarquina.com/en.
