All month long, this hip, waterside joint debuts a fresh, new margarita to pair with your top-tier tacos and flavorful eats in Westchester.

ICYMI, or as grandpa would say: “In case you’ve been living under a rock,” bartaco in Port Chester has been mixing up a new, lively, inventive, and intoxicatingly delicious margarita-inspired cocktail every week for the month of March. Mic drop.

In simpler terms: if you seize the day and get there tonight (nudge, nudge), you’ll still be able to sip the sweet and tropical mango chamoy margarita before it’s phased out to make way for tomorrow’s strawberry tamarind smash. Just the sound of it, folks!

Next Wednesday, buckle up for the bright and light pineapple express that will take center stage and take us all the way through to the end of the month. No matter which incarnation is in the shaker, each one is made with high-quality ingredients and close attention to detail.

Now, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the little-known nugget that those in the know wield with the power of a taco-chomping champ: how to pair a marg or any other bar selection, for that matter, with a (said in a whisper) #bartacosecret.

Starting today, the #bartacosecret involves juicy Mediterranean-spiced lamb kofta topped with a cool, crisp herb yogurt crema that’s then finished with a sharp, zesty, and herbaceous tabbouleh.

Look over both shoulders, lower your voice, and ask for it by name: #bartacosecret. It’s specially priced at $4, can be enjoyed in-house or via delivery, and the lamb kofta bad boy will linger on the menu through early May.

Westchester Magazine has obtained the exclusive recipe for bartaco’s fresh and fruity, Lime in the Coconut margarita for your DIY pleasure. So, get those shakers ready, follow along, and bottoms up, babies!

0.75 oz Liber & Co toasted coconut syrup
1.5 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
0.75 oz Combier Pamplemousse Rosé
1.5 oz Libélula Joven Tequila
Dehydrated lime wheel, as garnish


Add all measured ingredients to the small side of an empty cocktail shaker. Fill with ice cubes and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass, add four solid ice cubes, and garnish with dehydrated lime wheel.
