The modern coffee joint Joe Coffee is expanding its café presence from New York City up to Westchester County.
Joe Coffee might sound familiar, and that’s because it operates 24 cafés all around Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Starting in September 2022, customers are able to sip on their favorite coffee right here in Westchester.
The top-rated café sets up shop in the lobby of Stella, a new 28-story residential tower located in New Rochelle. The grand opening took place on Tuesday, September 13, and the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening.
“After many years of looking to expand to the Westchester area, we’re thrilled to have found the perfect home in New Rochelle. We’re so grateful for our stunning surroundings at Stella and the warm welcome we’ve received from our neighbors and the community,” says Jonathan Rubinstein, founder and CEO of Joe Coffee.

Joe Coffee was seeking the perfect aesthetic and architecture for its Westchester space, which it found thanks to the LMXD and Wilder Balter Partners, Inc. The 914 shop is in a prime location, near downtown New Rochelle, right off Main Street, and just a five-minute walk from the Metro North station. In other words, it’s the perfect stop during your morning commute!
As for what customers can expect to see on the menu, the New Rochelle shop is all about the classic coffeehouse experience. For starters, its signature house coffee, The Daily, is on drip, with its signature espresso, The Waverly, serving as the base for espresso drinks. The café also offers iced coffee, cold brew, and specialty seasonal drinks, as well as pastries, sandwiches, and salads.

Mayor Bramson attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and stated, “We are delighted to welcome Joe Coffee to the Stella, and to bring the best of New York City to New Rochelle.” He added, “Joe Coffee’s arrival is one more illustration of a downtown that is growing in energy and vitality by the day as we implement New Rochelle’s visionary and successful economic development plan.”
