Longtime friends open a chic, full-service hair salon in Westchester that makes any haircut or trim a luxurious experience.
Give new life to your mane at White Plains’ new, full-service salon Hair Hause (392 Mamaroneck Ave; www.hairhausesalon.com). The space (which was formerly the popular blow-dry bar PLUSHBLOW) was fashionably redesigned by cofounders and childhood friends Katy Vairo and Filomena Ambrosio. The two opened the rustic, elegant boutique salon in mid-November, a tough time for any small business due to the pandemic, yet they were confident they could create a successful beauty haven (which features an Instagrammable wall of greenery to snap that “after” pic).
The colorist and stylist had worked together for nearly two decades before debuting Hair Hause. As Vairo’s specialty is balayage and extensions, and Ambrosio’s is precision haircuts and styling, the two complement each other well, with a menu that includes cut, color, styling, keratin, and confidence-boosting blowouts.
