Owned by Eastchester resident Domenica Valenti, the full-service salon is chic, trendy, and everything a Westchesterite could crave.
You know you’ve made it when clients travel far and wide for your expertise. Eastchester resident Domenica Valenti opened full-service salon Hair By Dem & Co. in Armonk (111 Bedford Rd) this past November to a fully booked schedule. The 26-year-old stylist moved to the county just last year, and draws Westchesterites, as well as loyal clients from her native Long Island and even Boston. Located in Elide Plaza, Hair by Dem & Co. is Valenti’s first salon: a chic, trendy space that features black-and-white tiling and exposed ceilings, for an industrial feel.
A wall of lush greenery with the salon’s name on it — the LED sign changes colors — serves as a place where clients can snap photos of their freshly tousled tresses. Services offered include color, balayage, cut, Brazilian blowouts, and treatments like B24 Keratin. The salon also sells its own hair-product line that includes marula and grapeseed moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, a luxe hair-repair treatment mask, texturizing spray, and a nourishing oil. Closed on Sunday and Monday, the salon caters to the working crowd by staying open late on Thursday evenings until 7 p.m.
