Get a grip
If you’re looking for a better putting stroke — and who isn’t? — we have some heavy news for you. Try the Secret Grip by Boccieri Golf, the people who brought us the heavy putter. The Secret Grip is available in three different weights (100-, 155-, and 165-grams) for putters, and two weights for swing clubs. It has a 17-gram tungsten back weight in the tip and uses a 40 percent heavier compound for the grip itself. It comes in classic slim, midsize, and jumbo sizes. The heavier grip encourages you to use your body’s larger muscles while discouraging those spasmodic jabs at the ball. Suggested retail price: $13 to $25, depending on weight
