Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson 100th Anniversary Gala

More than 300 guests helped honor Women of Leadership and Excellence at the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson’s Centennial Gala held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown. Among the honorees: Congresswoman Nita Lowey, actress Vanessa Williams, business entrepreneur Elizabeth Bracken-Thompson, and IBM’s Watson Women represented by Katharine Frase, PhD. Also honored was Marissa Contento of Briarcliff High School, who has performed hundreds of hours of community service. The event raised $180,000 for Girl Scout programs that serve more than 32,000 girls in grades K-12 throughout the lower Hudson Valley. Sponsors included Entergy, Combe, Inc., Con Edison, TD Bank, Third Eye Technologies, and Hudson Cadillac Buick GMC, among others.
