Temporary closure hasn’t stopped the Emerson Resort & Spa in the Catskills from serving the community during this time of need. The luxury boutique property, which sponsors the Woodstock Open golf tournament, recently launched several initiatives to support local causes and reward customer loyalty.
The Emerson now feeds free meals to healthcare and frontline workers including doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals, first responders, EMT’s, police, and firefighters in the Catskills. Breakfast and dinner take out is available from Thursday to Monday for healthcare and frontline workers.
The Emerson is also participating in Project Resilience launched by Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan, which is a community fund and local food distribution effort to support residents impacted by COVID-19. Since its inception, Project Resilience has delivered over 10,000 meals.
Lastly, during this period of “pause” in New York when so many families are looking for in-home entertainment, the Emerson created an online trivia game with scavenger hunt questions. Anyone (friends, guests or future guests) who answers all questions correctly will be awarded a kaleidoscope gift from the Emerson, which houses the Guinness World Record Largest Kaleidoscope on-site.
