High-profile coworking spaces from the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue and two former WeWork executives are both set to open their doors in Westchester.
When it rains it pours, even when it comes to hybrid coworking spaces. Two different contenders have stepped into the ring at the very same time, bringing with them a veritable boom of home-away-from-homes for nomadic workers on the go.
The Hudson Bay Company — a sister brand to Saks Fifth Avenue — has opted to expand into the sector with SaksWorks, a new hybrid-work brand already boasting sites in New York City, Manhasset, and Greenwich. Although its exact location and opening date are still under wraps, Saks is set to open a glitzy new hybrid workspace and super-sleek lounge in the county soon.
However, SaksWorks isn’t the only new kid on the coworking block. Former WeWork execs Joel Steinhaus and Doug Chambers have also decided to step into the arena with their company, Daybase, which recently announced a new hybrid workspace opening in Harrison. Daybase hopes to engender an interconnected ecosystem of spaces both near workers’ homes and oriented around their activities and experiences. The county site of Daybase is to be joined by two additional locations, in Hoboken and Westfield, NJ. Yet no matter which of these new hybrid work-spaces you choose to plunk down your laptop, it may just feel like home.
