Armonk is home to a one-stop shop for home design. Here, you can take a peek inside.
For two decades, the team behind Cocobolo in Armonk have helped homeowners and designers find the perfect pieces for each room in their homes.
In 2019, owner Julie Owen took over the second floor of her building, expanded her showroom, and launched Cocobolo Design Center, an expansive, two-level showroom featuring an array of furniture, lighting, rugs, accessories, and the largest selection of wallcoverings and fabrics in Westchester. Cocobolo offers interior-design services for homeowners and to the trade for professionals.
“I believe there is an opportunity to serve the thriving Westchester design community,” says Owen, who notes that many designers currently travel into the city for design services, “which is time-consuming and expensive. With a wide variety of sought-after vendors represented in our showroom, designers can now shop locally.”
To the trade, Owen and her team offer sourcing, ordering, follow up, and customer service; for retail customers, they offer full interior-design services, planning/floor plans, furniture selections, paint consultations, renovations, and new construction.
Every space at Cocobolo is filled with something stylish and inspiring: newspaper wallpaper behind the front desk, lush sofas in velvet, as well as modern and striking light fixtures. Describing Cocobolo’s style, Owen says, “The designs are typically warm, inviting, functional, clean, and detail-oriented.”
