Iconic Lash Lounge
When Westchester women want lush lashes, they turn to Yorktown Heights-based business Iconic Lash Lounge, owned by husband-wife duo Nicholas and Sandra Guarriello. In less than two years, the couple has built a successful business at their first outpost and opened a second location this past spring in Southbury, CT. Iconic boasts clients throughout the county and even a couple who travel from Boston and Pennsylvania. “It’s so humbling that people will travel that far to do their lashes,” says Sandra. She credits the widespread clientele to Nick’s social media and marketing efforts.
In addition to their brick-and-mortar storefronts, the Guarriellos have amassed 100,000 streams of their Lash Snob Radio podcast, for which they held an exclusive launch party in February at Bloomingdale’s in White Plains.
Sandra, who attended the New York School of Esthetics, attributes her fan base to her and her five lash artists’ techniques, the time they allot each client, and the high quality glue and lashes they use (cashmere, faux mink, silk). Sandra educates other lash artists through the New York School of Esthetics and her Iconic Academy. Nick’s background in the film industry has helped him drive effective graphic design, social media, marketing, and promotions for the business.
In the spring, they launched their new “mega-volume” eyelash option. “This business is our baby,” says Nick. The high-school sweethearts and Yonkers natives are looking forward to watching it grow.
