For Kaitlin Triano, one of the best parts of her job at Mastercard is seeing the company’s impact in bringing access to credit and the formal banking system to people around the globe.
“Something we take for granted in the US could be life-changing in other parts of the world,” says Triano.
Triano graduated from Manhattanville College with a BA in finance and mathematics, and from Harvard University with a master’s in liberal arts with a focus on general management. She started at Mastercard eight years ago, working her way up from intern to consultant before moving into product development and innovation. She is now part of the commercial team, focusing on the North American market. “I fell in love with the company,” she says.
Along the way, Triano has racked up big honors. She earned her MBA in 2017 from Cornell University. She was also a fellow in the NXT-GEN Fellowship for Moral Leadership, which focuses on teaching future business leaders the principles and importance of moral leadership. When she’s not working, she volunteers for the American Heart Association on the Westchester Executive Leadership team.
Meanwhile, she is glad to have a job where she can have a real impact. “I’m excited to be working for a company that spans multiple markets and geographies, a company that value its employees and customers it serves and one that is at the forefront of technology,” she says.
