Ranked number 32 out of the 35 companies on the list for large employers, White Plains Hospital has exceeded national benchmarks for employee satisfaction for the third year in a row. The Fortune list is based on confidential survey responses from employees regarding leadership, effectiveness, respect, fairness, and employee pride in the organization. Fortune divides the list into two groups: large (companies with 1,000 employees or more) and small and medium (companies with 10 to 999 people).
Large Companies

Three Westchester-based companies earned spots on the large employers list, including MasterCard at No. 8 in Purchase, USI Insurance Services at No. 13 in Valhalla, and White Plains Hospital Center at No. 32 in White Plains.
At No. 8 with an HQ location in Purchase, MasterCard made Fortune’s Best Workplaces in New York and Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2025 lists. With 10,952 U.S.-based employees in the financial services and insurance industry, MasterCard powers economies and people in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. Eighty-nine percent of employees reported that MasterCard is a great place to work.
At No. 13 in the large category with an HQ location in Valhalla, USI Insurance Services has over 10,000 associates across 200 offices nationwide with over 500,000 clients. It has 10,475 U.S.-based employees, and 93% of them reported that USI is a great place to work.
As a leading healthcare provider in Westchester, White Plains Hospital Center in White Plains holds the No. 32 spot this year with 5,127 U.S.-based employees. It has been named Fortune’s Best Workplaces in New York in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Small-Medium Companies
- X-Caliber Capital (No. 24; Irvington)
- Quorum Federal Credit Union (No. 28; Purchase)
- K&A Engineering Consulting PC (No. 31, White Plains)
X-Caliber Capital in Irvington, Quorum Federal Credit Union Purchase, and K&A Engineering Consulting PC in White Plains made the small-medium employer Fortune 2025 list.
At No. 24, X-Caliber Capital, 96% of employees reported that the company is a great place to work. It is a nationally recognized commercial real estate finance franchise with 97 U.S.-based employees.
At Quorum Federal Credit Union, which has an HQ in Purchase, 94% of employees reported the company as a great place to work. Finally, K&A Engineering Consulting PC holds the number 32 spot with an HQ in White Plains. K&A is a medium-sized and minority-owned enterprise with 249 U.S.-based employees. It specializes in electric power delivery and energy engineering services.
