Jessica Munzel and Jon Gordon, owners
Owned by husband-wife team Jon Gordon and Jessica Munzel, Admiral Real Estate began doing business in earnest in 2004. The Bronxville firma offers comprehensive assistance that enables retail and office tenants to find the appropriate space for their varied needs, and they help commercial real estate owners lease vacant space. (Though Admiral’s emphasis is on commercial real estate, they help sell residential and other investment properties, too.)
The word “team” is essential. The small staff, Gordon points out, use their complementary backgrounds to work together synergistically. Their collective expertise is intensive: Admiral’s staff has significant real estate experience, as well as corporate backgrounds in property/asset management.
The company has represented a large number of both retail-property owners and tenants all over Westchester County, and have brokered deals for an eclectic mix, including 7-Eleven, Found Herbal, Bespoke Education, and The Pottery Factory. In addition, their skill at matching vacant space with suitable tenants has led to Westchester leases for well-known firms, including CareMount Medical and Bluemercury.
Real estate, like so many industries over the last decade, has changed dramatically. Admiral makes it a point to update and maintain their listing information on numerous real estate websites and the growing range of social-media platforms.
During the past year, the company closed more than 55 transactions, valued at $34 million. Their success is due to many things, but perhaps the prime reason comes in the strong realization that the buying, selling, and leasing of property is a complicated, multitiered endeavor. “I think, from our clients’ perspective,” Gordon concludes, “one of Admiral’s major strengths is our being able to look at problems and opportunities from divergent backgrounds.”
